Who is responsible
Hyzgen is operated by Syed Uzair Hassan, trading as Hyzgen, who is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: support@hyzgen.com.
What we store
- Your account: email address, display name, a bcrypt hash of your password (never the password itself), your plan, credit balance and credit history.
- What you make: the prompts and scripts you write, the generated scenes, images, voiceovers, captions and finished videos, and the characters and examples you save.
- What you upload: photos and screenshots in your image library, and raw footage you send to the Reel Maker.
- Billing records: the customer and subscription ids our payment reseller gives us, and your plan's status. Never card details.
- Connected accounts: if you link YouTube or TikTok, the access tokens needed to post for you, stored encrypted.
- Affiliate records: if you join the affiliate programme, your code, referral clicks and commission records.
- Visit counts: which pages are visited and where visitors came from. Unique visitors are counted with a hash of the IP address and browser that changes every day; the IP address itself is not stored.
We use this data to run the service for you, bill you, prevent abuse, and answer you.
Who else sees it
Making a video means sending parts of your input to the providers that do the work. Each receives only what its step needs:
- Google (Gemini): prompts, scripts, scene descriptions and the photos or footage a step uses, to write scripts, draw images, generate video clips and transcribe speech.
- Microsoft (Edge text-to-speech): narration text, to be spoken.
- Pexels: short scene descriptions, to search stock imagery when AI imagery is unavailable.
- Paddle.com and Dodo Payments: our resellers and merchants of record. They collect your payment and billing details directly, under their own privacy policies.
- YouTube and TikTok: the videos you choose to post, only when you have linked an account.
- Hetzner: our hosting provider; the servers are in Germany.
We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers, and we do not use your prompts, uploads or videos to train any model of our own. If you give the app a website link, our server opens that public page to read it.
How long we keep it
Videos, images and uploads stay until you delete them or your account. Raw Reel Maker footage is deleted automatically after 30 days without use. Billing and credit records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Cookies
We set a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a 60-day cookie that remembers where you first came from (a search engine, a social site or an affiliate link), so a referrer is credited if you sign up. The app also saves unfinished drafts in your own browser. We run no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Paddle's checkout sets its own cookies while you pay.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have your account and everything in it deleted. Deleting a video removes its record and every file it produced straight away; to delete your whole account, email us and we will do it within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to processing or to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, posting tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, media is served only to the signed-in account that owns it, and all traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.
Children
Hyzgen is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
We will announce material changes to this policy in the app. Questions or requests: support@hyzgen.com.
