Talking-character shorts are everywhere: a family scene, a cartoon argument, a two-line joke. Making one by hand means a dozen tools. Hyzgen writes two or three characters with a look, a voice and a gender, writes the lines, and keeps the faces.
Each line is a clip. A keyframe is drawn from the portraits of whoever is in frame, the video model animates it with the speaker saying the line, the take is transcribed for the captions and cut at the last word. Lines are shot two at a time, a failed clip is retried once, and a line that still fails becomes a still with a voice and gives its clip credits back. Nothing films, and the whole run refunds.
